Fulvic Acid in Shilajit

Fulvic Acid – A Key Component of Shilajit

Shilajit is naturally rich in fulvic acid. Fulvic acid occurs in soil, where it forms as organic matter breaks down, and it plays a part in the growth of vegetables and fruits. Modern intensive farming has reduced the natural mineral content of many soils, which is one reason people take an interest in natural sources such as shilajit.

What is Fulvic Acid?

Fulvic acid forms through the slow decomposition of organic substances. In soil, it improves fertility and supports the healthy growth of plants. The name comes from the Latin word fulvus, meaning yellowish. The amount of fulvic acid in soil varies from region to region.

Shilajit contains fulvic acid in large amounts. It forms from plant matter that has decomposed at very high altitude, under intense weather, over thousands of years, and then seeps from rock crevices as a resin.

How Our Shilajit Is Prepared

We collect raw shilajit in the high Himalaya of Gilgit-Baltistan, then filter and purify it in small batches and sun-dry it below 40°C. Nothing is added. Every batch is independently tested for heavy metals and microbiological contamination, and the reports are published on our Lab Reports page.
